Sandstone Ultralight Q-Switched Laser – YAG
The Sandstone Ultralight Q-Switched Laser with 1064nm and 532nm Nd:YAG Laser Beam is a safe and effective tattoo removing system. The Ultra Q’s 1064 nm / 532 nm frequency treats black, dark blue and red ink. The advantage of this Q-Switched Laser is that it eliminates the articulated arm, with an easy to handle handpiece and the YAG Laser system having a small foot print and with casters for ease of movement from room to room or as needed. This Ultralight Q-Switched YAG Laser features adjustable fluence, multiple spot sizes, variable pulse rate and can deliver up to 1000 mJ of energy.
The UltraLight Q-Switched Nd:Yag Laser System is a microprocessor-controlled, user friendly laser system intended to efficiently remove pigmented lesions and tattoos. The system consists of an optical path system, with the laser located in the handpick, the power supply system, computer control and an internal, closed cooling system. The unit can be activated by footswitch for laser emission .
How to remove Tattoos with the Sandstone Ultralight Q-Switched Laser?
The laser light passes through the skin and is absorbed by the ink. The rapid absorption of the light energy causes the tattoo ink to break into tiny particles which can then be removed by the body’s own natural process. While the surrounding skin remains unharmed.
Usually, professional tattoos require 3 – 9 treatments in every 6 – 8 weeks. The amount and the depth of type of ink what was used on the skin determines the number of treatments. The dark – blue, black, red – inks will resolve the best. Orange and purple fade as well. The yellow and green colored inks are more difficult to be removed and they usually require additional treatments.
Pigmented Lesion Treatments with the Sandstone Ultralight Q-Switched Laser
These skin areas contain high density of melanin and are characteristically caused by an excess of the pigment commonly due to sun exposure, aging or congenital factors. During treatment, the laser light is absorbed only by the unwanted melanin, raising the temperature to cause shattering of the pigment. The unwanted pigment cells (melanin) have been thoroughly fragmented without damage to the surrounding tissue. In weeks after treatment, the shattered melanin particles are eliminated through phagocytosis, whereby the fragmented pigments and the damaged melanocytes are absorbed by the body. Little or no trace of the initial lesion remains.
